"Sierra Club Hike - Honokahau Ditch Trail, Ma'alaea,"

4.5 miles. This is a 4.5 rt pedestrian paved mostly flat walking trail that leads to a stream. Great views but fully exposed. We will carpool meeting at Ma'alaea at 8:00. For those who do not want to carpool: coming into Lahaina, from the highway turn right on Kai Hele Ku St. and come up, around a rotary till you see some parking spaces on the right across from a small shady picnic area. On the left you will see the Ditch trail sign. This is the Launiupoko neighborhood. About a 2 hour hike. Leader: Kalei Johnson .

Island reggae music superstar J BOOG returns to Maui - A singer who fuses reggae with R&B, hip-hop, and rock, J BOOG was born in Long Beach, California, but was primarily raised in Compton. "Sierra Club Hike - Kanaha Beach Ramble,"

3 miles. We'll go along the ocean but not walking on the beach. We will be in the trees seeing some historical features like the remnants of a crashed aircraft and bunkers from WW2. About a 3 mile jaunt, nothing difficult and we can extend the distance if desired. Meet at the Kanaha beach Canoe pavilion at 9:00. Leader: Kalei Johnson.
